Bombinhas

Bombinhas, located at the peninsula of the northern coast of Santa Catarina, is considered as a veritable natural sanctuary. Surrounded by bays, cliffs and coves and more than 30 beautiful beaches with their own individual beauty, the municipality has tourism as its main income, which is currently the city’s support base. The activity is so prominent that in 2006, 2007 and 2009, Bombinhas was elected as the fourth best beach in the country by the Brazilian magazine Viagem e Turismo [Travel and Tourism]; and as the third best in 2008 and 2010. Recognized at a national and international level, the city possesses a wide and varied structure of accommodation and gastronomy, attending to the most varied of public profiles.

Engenhos de Farinha, Terno de Reis and Boi-de-Mamão celebrations are a cultural inheritance left by Azorean colonizers which enchant tourists and visitors more and more.
